A Travel agency wants to get into a new market. This is small business but wants to reach target markets in USA

There are a number of ways to market to the us market for Vietnam.

#1. build a good, easy to use website. If the site is not usable than it wont matter how many visitors you get, none will buy.

#2. Know the competition and be sure your offering something they are not. Exmaples are a better price, easy to use site, or target niche markets like all inclusive resorts or luxury accomidations. another possible market would be himanitarian tourism targeting do-gooders.

#3. Market your site through the major online chanels. SEO, PPC, Media Buys, Email etc.

#4. Identify your primary markets of people most likely to want to travel to Vietnam and partner with with websites that already have access to those markets.

#5. Make sure your travel packages are available through travel search engines so you come up when people are looking for vietnam accomidations and travel packages. Yoou may need to create a product feed for this.

#6. Do not spam. no matter how easy it sounds, in the long term, spam marketing is not a viable option.

#7. Knowing what your packages are or what your budget is could help alot in identifying the best strategies for you.

I don’t know anything about website maintenance so i’m having them install Google Analytics for me on my site. They’re also helping me with a marketing plan tailored for my business.

I took out a business license in October 2008. I didn’t make any money with the business in 2008. I started an internet marketing business and I try to sell things through Clickbank and Google Adsense. I just received my first check through Clickbank, but that was in 2009. I made a little money in December 2008 through Clickbank and Google Adsense, but I haven’t actually received a check from Google Adsense, and I just received a check from Clickbank this week. Do I need to file taxes for my small business for 2008?
Just to clarify, I didn’t make a dime last year! I just received my first check a few days ago.
I made like $44.00 in December, but with Clickbank, you don’t receive a check until you sell five items. With Adsense, you don’t receive a check until you make $100.00.
For that reason, I didn’t actually receive any money until February 2009.
I had no real expenses last year, other than a couple e-books I purchased to learn about internet marketing. Those books probably cost me $40.00

I have loked at a few, but they are WAY too expensive for my budget. I have no idea about the web, but I do know there is business to be had.

I’ve lost a lot of money on AdWords myself. But I have lost more money paying for hits through other services. One site was simply sending me forwarded traffic from random web pages that have absolutely nothing to do with my product.

I honestly wouldn’t trust any company or site that claims to send me a certain number of hits or directed traffic.

Nearly everyone uses Google these days, so your best options for getting good traffic are proper search engine optimization, legitimate link exchange, , social bookmarking and careful, researched use of AdWords.

SEO is something you can hire out and probably get a better job done than what you can do yourself – this is possibly true with link exchange too. But Bookmarking and AdWords is easy enough to do yourself,and you’re likely to get ripped off by anyone who you have to pay to do this.

Bookmark your site at popular web 2.0 sites like Digg, Delicious, etc. That will take you about 5 minutes and your done.

Adwords – you need to make sure you are bidding on teh proper terms. Also, there are other paid ad programs besides AdWords – often with much cheaper cost per click. A one time investment in keyword research software such as Market Samurai or ClickAdEqualizer will earn it’s money back in no time. They’ll lets helps you find what keywords your competition is using, point out alternative keywords, and even help you find the lowest cpc for those keywords. Anyone that you hire is simply going to use this software, and charge you 5 time the purchase cost, monthly!

Do it yourself. You’ll get better results. Nothing looks as unprofessional as having your site linked to known spam sites – that’s what happens when you let someone else do it for you. Trust me, I know from experience.

I have a small business and a website now i want to market it through Internet. I have read little about SEO and PPC. I spoke to a few companies but they are charging beyond my capacity. Also i am not sure of their service. Can anyone suggest some good SEO consultant or affordable internet marketing company in India ( preferaly kolkata) ?

It is always difficult to find SEO for really small businesses because good SEO companies are very costly – the SEO consultants are no lesser. You can definitely find a lot of people claiming themselves as "SEO Experts" and would probably be ready to work for peanuts but in most cases these people would do more harm to your site than any good.

I worked with a guy in Kolkata who taught me some good SEO stuff, you can try contacting him. He is a professional SEO consultant and works for various big companies but do provide some free tips if you would request. Also his blog is well rated among SEO consultants in India and has good stuff that might be helpful. I bought an auto glass (mobile and land) business, ARIES AUTO GLASS (see internet ad). However, I am losing jobs due to 5 and 10 dollars. Okay, I am going to give you some advice that I give all of my clients (and my clients usually pay me very, very good money for this advice). Never try to beat the competition by focusing on price. Find something that sets you apart from the competition (better quality, better service, etc.) and focus on that. Throw the "you get what you pay for" pitch into your advertising and you’ll be surprised how things turn around.
