I have a small business and a website now i want to market it through Internet. I have read little about SEO and PPC. I spoke to a few companies but they are charging beyond my capacity. Also i am not sure of their service. Can anyone suggest some good SEO consultant or affordable internet marketing company in India ( preferaly kolkata) ?

It is always difficult to find SEO for really small businesses because good SEO companies are very costly – the SEO consultants are no lesser. You can definitely find a lot of people claiming themselves as "SEO Experts" and would probably be ready to work for peanuts but in most cases these people would do more harm to your site than any good.

I worked with a guy in Kolkata who taught me some good SEO stuff, you can try contacting him. He is a professional SEO consultant and works for various big companies but do provide some free tips if you would request. Also his blog is well rated among SEO consultants in India and has good stuff that might be helpful. I bought an auto glass (mobile and land) business, ARIES AUTO GLASS (see internet ad). However, I am losing jobs due to 5 and 10 dollars. I have gotten lowest cost and can not take anymore off or I would be actually in the red. I am wanting a catch phrase and customer offer that will cement their business with my company. I have thought gift card for coffee shop so customer can relax during repair or replacement. PLEASE help me!

Okay, I am going to give you some advice that I give all of my clients (and my clients usually pay me very, very good money for this advice). Never try to beat the competition by focusing on price. Find something that sets you apart from the competition (better quality, better service, etc.) and focus on that. Throw the "you get what you pay for" pitch into your advertising and you’ll be surprised how things turn around.

2. Search target audience online and their favorite communities: For example blogs, forums, social networks etc. Participate on these platforms.

Best to invest in a good website. NAR’s 2005 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers showed 77% of buyers used the Internet in their search! This is a HUGE number!

Even when indexed by the search engines, it’s not going to help you if your keyword shows up on page 987. Sure, everyone would like their keywords to show up on page one, two or three of the returned results. But, I want to win the lottery! So? What are you going to do? One thing for sure….it will NOT be EZ!

You need GOOD/Informative content! Without this you will be wasting your time on other methods.

So, you will see that this one broker’s site (not a major real estate firm) has out ranked over FIVE MILLION other sites for this VERY POPULAR real estate search phrase!!!

After looking into the site, I also noted lots, of timely useful info in an EZ to follow site. This is VERY important! As without good ORIGINAL content you’ll NEVER have a top ranking site!

I also visited their site, and found it too had a high Google pagerank. Plus, they had great articles on SEO and software for learning to do your own SEO.

The bad news is that any true SEO work to get on page one of Google is VERY time intensive. www.websitetrafficbuilders.com has a guaranteed results program…but, as it starts at $3,950.00, it’s really not for the little person.

I have downloaded their free trial SEO software, just a few days ago, so have not used it yet! But, I’m really learing alot for the free software. If they put this into an ebook, I’m sure they could sell quite a few copies!

*Also, on first link below is a website that offers about ten website and blog awards. They are FREE & even provide a link back to your site! Plus, they show the visitors that your site is a noch above the rest. Keep in mind, to get the award you have to have good info on your site and not just junk w/jumping graphics and tons of AdWords!

So, bottom line, GET THEIR FREE TRIAL SOFTWARE and even if you do NOT do anything else…you’ll learn a great deal about SEO from people who make their livelihood DOING IT!

The business must have license and insurance. You must also get permission to rent your unit as commercial property, you must also have insurance.

Also make sure the business is legal and won’t disturb other residents (high traffic, noise, offensive, etal.)
